Hi...I'm Nicci

I'm a Nottingham based yoga teacher and mummy to 2 energic kids!!! I specialise in mindful, accessible yoga that is suitable for all ages and abilities - helping to create a space for people to carve out much deserved time for themselves. Whether that's a weekly yoga class, relaxation class or retreat...we all live such busy often overwhelming lives, it's so important to balance the rush with some time out to nourish our mind, body & soul.

Yoga & mindfulness is something I've practiced for over 20 years. These therapeutic tools support me everyday in the ups & downs of motherhood and life!

I launched Breathe & Bloom Yoga in 2017 & am proud to have grown my experience, training & offering over this time. Take a look around & please get in touch anytime.

I'd love to see you at a class soon,

Nicci x

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1

Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?

No, not at all! This is one of the biggest misconceptions I hear. Yoga helps improve flexibility over time, but you don’t need to be flexible to start. The key is to listen to your body and practice at your own pace.

2

What should I wear to a yoga class?

Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that you can move around in easily. Relaxation sessions are all about getting comfy and cosy. For meditation & breathwork, no special clothing needed, come as you are!

3

How often should I practice yoga?

Even practicing yoga once or twice a week can be beneficial. Daily practice, for just 5-10 mins, can be transformative, this might be just practicing a couple of poses or taking a moment to find stillness & connect to your breath.

Benefits of Yoga

Yoga offers much more than just relaxation and restoration. It has shown to provide a wide range of benefits for both the body and the mind. Here’s how it can help:

Improves sleep:

Yoga is highly effective in easing insomnia and supporting better sleep quality. It helps calm the mind and relax the body, making it easier to fall into a deep, restorative sleep.

Stress reduction:

By reducing anxiety and lowering cortisol levels (the body’s stress hormone), Yoga provides a natural way to ease stress and bring a sense of calm and relaxation.

Emotional balance:

This practice helps transform negative thought patterns, behaviours, and habits. Over time, it fosters emotional stability and a more positive, peaceful mindset.

I recently attended the Cosiness for the Soul retreat in January and it was such a wonderful experience. The whole weekend was wonderfully curated with a great balance of yoga, journaling, sound, meditation, mindful activities and free time. I arrived feeling anxious with a very busy mind and left feeling calm and relaxed with a plan for the year ahead. I went with a friend but the group were so welcoming, I would have felt perfectly at ease on my own too. If you are considering a retreat with Nicci & Laura I would highly recommend. I can't wait for the next one! Thank you xx
